Process Basis
Coke from a single stamped coal cake comes out in large pieces, with a dense structure and few fissures, and its reactivity is appreciably better than the national Quasi Grade I requirement. Large size, density and low reactivity are precisely what foundry coke calls for, and they are the basis on which the plant has made foundry coke its priority development direction.
On Specification Adjustment
On specification adjustment. The plant produces to its standard specification on a stable, continuous basis. Sizing can be screened to requirement (including 10–30mm and 5–25mm) as an existing process step. Adjustment of other parameters involves changing the coal blend structure. This requires sufficient and sustained volume to arrange, and materially affects pricing. We recommend assessing suitability against the standard specification first.
